Hertford
Lodge embraces the Masonic principle of Charity. We try to raise money for charitable
causes, both Masonic and public as part of our
normal
annual programme of events.
In recent years we have been able to
present money to a number of charities and good causes including the
Walsgrave
Hospital Cancer Ward Appeal, a
Mencap Day Care Centre,
Parkinson's
Disease , A holiday fund for kids
from Chernobyl, the
RAF
Benevolent Fund, the
Good Hope Hospital Scanner, the Rwanda Flood Relief Appeal, the
Royal
British Legion Poppy Appeal, The
World Trade Centre Disaster Appeal, the Indian Earthquake Appeal, Farmers’
Aid,
Acorn’s
Hospice and
Hearing Dogs for Deaf People.
We raised many thousands of pounds and ninety percent of the money went to
non-Masonic Charities.
